Our private client located in Central London are seeking a private housekeeper/companion. Ready to start!
Working day(s)/Hour(s): (5) days per week Monday – Sunday 9:00am – 6:00pm (with breaks throughout the day). (2) days off per week will be given (this may not be together), (1) shift might include the weekend.
Salary of up to £48,000 + overtime pay at £20.00 per hour.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexible approach to work – able to work paid overtime if staff is short or requested by Client.
  • Highly motivated and organised.
  • Demonstration of delivering outstanding service
  • Basic cooking skills and willingness to learn more recipes.
  • Good communication amongst colleagues and full understanding of task list with efficient execution.
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially when carrying out cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Able to work efficiently without compromising quality or standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
  • Happy to wear a uniform which is provided to all staff.

Responsibilities

DAY TO DAY HOUSEKEEPER/COMPANION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (BUT NOT LIMITED TO);

  • General household cleaning maintenance to a high standard.
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to the standards, as set out initially by the Client.
  • Handover from previous housekeeper on shift in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in the taking instructions and following weekly task list provided by the House Manager.
  • Keep your phone to hand to guarantee calls will be answered during shift for responsive service.
  • Check all ‘best before dates’ on all items and condition of perishable items.
  • Ensure pantries are refilled and appliances are cleaned in between uses.
  • Generate a shopping list if anything is needed and allocate time for purchase. If you require help speak to the other Housekeepers to see if they can assist.
  • Check lights are switched on/off in specific places and automatic lights are fully operating.
  • Prepare meals requested by our client. If the Chef is on duty, ensure they’re up to date with the meal plans for the day.
  • Make sure all vases are clean, and fresh flowers are displayed with enough water.
  • Tidy the garden area and patios.
  • Liaising with other members of staff and external parties regarding assistance with tasks or general updates regarding the Client as tasks may change if the Client’s Day doesn’t follow suit.
  • Closing shutters when approaching late evening.
  • Attending to small dog (refilling feeding/water bowl as well as cleaning up any mess made).
  • Accompany Client when travelling via taxi to and from residence when required.
  • Report to lead Housekeeper and House Manager.
  • Report any damages or repairs needed to House Manager.
  • Occasionally, you will need to accompany the Client to medical appointments or assist with care when required.
