We’re Paddy Wok - a brand-new, fast-growing Irish-Chinese takeaway in Deptford with a second shop opening soon in Aldgate. We’re looking for a hands-on Takeaway Manager to run the shop, lead the team, and keep customers coming back for more. Starting £13.50/hr + big bonuses, free meals, and the opportunity to grow with us.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing a takeaway or similar fast-paced food business.
  • Experience creating staff rotas and managing small teams.
  • Confident with stock ordering and supplier management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working evenings and weekends.
  • Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
  • Previous experience in food production or kitchen management is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of operations
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

THE ROLE

We need a Takeaway Manager to run day-to-day operations at Paddy Wok in Deptford. You’ll manage a small team and work alongside them during service and prep. You will also handle rotas, stock, customer service, and make sure everything runs smoothly. This is a chance to join a new and rapidly expanding business, with real opportunities to grow as we open more locations.

DUTIES

  • Lead and supervise a small team (usually 2 staff).
  • Create and manage staff rotas to ensure smooth coverage.
  • Maintain food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and check deliveries.
  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
  • Manage staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Foster a team-oriented atmosphere, encouraging collaboration among staff members
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency
