Company Description Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. Job Description Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a talented recruitment professional to join a fun, engaging and supportive Talent Acquisition team in Brisbane. While this position is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, there is the potential for extension. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Advisor, the Talent Acquisition Analyst partners closely with site stakeholders to manage end-to-end recruitment activities for all site based roles, from position approval through to onboarding, you’ll truly be in control of your desk and the relationships with candidates and site stakeholders alike. This is a diverse and rewarding role offering exposure to a wide range of positions from Operators and Trades to Management roles. Key duties: Own and deliver end-to-end recruitment for your designated portfolio, ensuring exceptional experience for candidates and stakeholders Accurately maintain recruitment data in the Applicant Tracking System to support real-time reporting Manage pre-employment checks and onboarding processes Provide regular recruitment updates and reporting to key stakeholders Champion inclusion and diversity strategies, including proactive sourcing and best-practice selection processes Build and maintain talent pools to support future workforce needs Undertake proactive sourcing for hard-to-fill roles Qualifications Minimum 2+ years’ experience in internal recruitment or agency recruitment Solid understanding of recruitment techniques, employment legislation, and selection best practices Prior experience in mining or heavy industry is preferred Proven experience in proactive sourcing for niche or hard-to-fill roles Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement Additional Information Competitive salary including annual bonus + 12% superannuation Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 days WFH Flexible work options – RDO every second Friday What we offer When you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package and a range of flexible work arrangements that support the balance of work, family and individual circumstances.
