Description
The Talent Acquisition and Engagement Specialist will be responsible for creating and leading an excellent Apartment Life experience for prospective and current Lifers (Apartment Life employees). In partnership with other stakeholders, this specialist will interview and lead the hiring process for open roles, champion employee engagement, shape cross-functional gatherings that help Lifers feel seen and appreciated, and coordinate staff transitions. The Talent Acquisition and Engagement Specialist reports to the Chief People Officer. Important Details This position is full time and involves hiring across all time zones Experience working across the employee life cycle preferred Experience in Asana and applicant tracking systems preferred Key Responsibilities LMA (Lead, Manage, Hold Accountable) + Culture – Manage staff candidate pipeline with excellence. Receive, review, and vet applications, conduct phone interviews to discern qualifications, and respond with ACE communication—warm, proactive, and within 1 business day—as candidates move through the hiring process. Hold hiring functions accountable for deadlines and ensure new hires align with core & aspirational values. Promote engaged culture – Coordinate feedback and recognition programs to assess employee experience and help staff feel seen and valued. Manage staff transitions – Update, launch, and track staff transitions in project management system to ensure an excellent user experience and cross-functional partnership. Identify and implement needed changes while helping supervisors to lead out on their direct report's checklist(s) to ensure timely completion. This includes facilitating exit interviews. Facilitate cross-functional staff gatherings – Take the lead on planning and executing organization-wide staff gatherings (i.e. New Employee Orientation and All-Staff retreat) as well as other departmental meetings.
