Position Summary The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing and executing recruiting strategies to attract, assess, and hire qualified professionals across the land surveying industry. This role supports hiring for technical, licensed, and operational positions, including field crews, CAD technicians, project managers, licensed surveyors (RPLS/PLS/PS), and leadership roles across multiple markets. This position requires a deep understanding of skilled-trade, high-volume recruiting, professional recruiting, workforce planning, compliance, and candidate experience within a fast-paced, multi-state environment. Ideal candidate will be located in either Cleveland, OH, Orlando, FL or Houston, TX. Travel requirement: Approximately 35% travel (career fairs, office visits, and industry events). Requirements Key Responsibilities Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning Partner with operations and leadership to forecast hiring needs by market, discipline, and growth plans. Develop proactive recruiting strategies for hard-to-fill roles, including RPLS/PLS, Crew Chiefs, and experienced CAD professionals. Build and maintain talent pipelines through passive sourcing and long-term relationship building. Full-Cycle Recruiting Manage end-to-end recruitment including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination. Recruit for a wide range of roles, including: Field Crew Chiefs and Survey Technicians CAD Technicians and Project Coordinators Licensed Surveyors (RPLS / PLS / PS) Customer Service, Operations, Sales, and Leadership positions Ensure consistent, compliant hiring practices across multiple states. Sourcing & Employer Branding Leverage recruiting platforms and vendors such as Indeed, LinkedIn, trade associations, technical schools, and universities. Coordinate and attend career fairs, industry events, and campus recruiting initiatives. Support employer branding efforts aligned with Exacta’s mission, values, and culture. Stakeholder Partnership Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers regarding market conditions, compensation expectations, and hiring timelines. Coach leaders on interview best practices and equitable hiring decisions. Ensure timely communication and a positive candidate experience. Share ownership of company retention goals. Compliance & Systems Ensure recruiting practices comply with EEOC, FLSA, and state-specific employment laws. Maintain accurate documentation in ATS/HRIS systems. Track and analyze recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness. Continuous Improvement Analyze recruiting data and recommend process and system improvements. Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within hiring practices. Assist with internship, apprenticeship, and early-career pipeline programs. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience. Proven experience recruiting skilled trades and/or technical professionals. Experience supporting multi-state or multi-office operations. Demonstrated success implementing and managing recruiting platforms. Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance fundamentals. Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Preferred Experience in land surveying, civil engineering, construction, or professional services. Familiarity with licensing requirements (RPLS, PLS, PS). Experience with Paylocity. Bilingual (Spanish/English preferred).
