WesTrac is one of Australia's leading equipment solutions providers, supporting the construction, mining, infrastructure and resources sectors through the supply and maintenance of Caterpillar equipment and technology solutions.
With a large workforce operating across multiple locations, attracting and retaining skilled talent is critical to business success. Recruitment is recognised as a strategic priority, with strong executive sponsorship, engaged operational leaders and continued investment in innovative sourcing strategies, technology and AI-enabled ways of working.
As the business continues to evolve and grow, this is an opportunity to lead a function that directly influences operational performance and long-term workforce capability.
About the Role
Reporting to the GM People & Culture NSW/ACT, this leadership role is responsible for leading Talent Acquisition across New South Wales, managing an established team of recruiters and coordinators supporting high-volume, business-critical hiring activity.
This is far more than a traditional TA leadership position. You'll partner closely with operational and business leaders to solve workforce challenges, develop proactive talent strategies and improve recruitment outcomes across the organisation.
The majority of hiring activity focuses on skilled trades and technical talent in highly competitive markets where direct sourcing, talent pooling and innovative attraction approaches are essential to success. Leading an experienced team, you'll drive recruitment performance, establish consistent sourcing disciplines and utilise data and analytics to inform decision-making and improve hiring outcomes.
You'll also play a key role in building on existing AI initiatives while exploring new ways technology can enhance efficiency, candidate experience and overall recruitment effectiveness.
About You
You're an experienced Talent Acquisition leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments. You know how to build sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles, use data to improve hiring outcomes, and influence stakeholders at every level.
Ideally, you've led recruitment teams through growth and change, bringing a commercial mindset and a passion for solving workforce challenges, not just filling vacancies.
Experience in industrial, technical, logistics, healthcare, or aged care environments will be highly regarded. We will be looking out for those:
