Location: Nicholasville, KY (Onsite, In-Office) Base Hourly: $25-$30 based on experience Schedule: Mon-Fri 08:30 AM - 5:00 PM About the Role – What You’ll Be Doing The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the full hiring lifecycle for all departments across A Plus Auto. This includes posting jobs, sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating with hiring managers, extending offers, and ensuring a smooth, organized onboarding experience for every new hire. This role is essential to supporting our fast-growing workforce and maintaining a consistent, high-quality hiring process. Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition (Recruiting – 65%) Create and post job listings across job boards (Indeed, Facebook Job Groups, LinkedIn, etc.). Manage candidate flow through Rippling ATS. Screen resumes for fit, experience, and alignment with company needs. Conduct first-round interviews via Zoom. Conduct second-round interviews in-person with the department manager. Maintain communication with applicants throughout the hiring process. Track hiring metrics and candidate funnels. Build strong relationships with internal teams to understand hiring needs. Participate in job fairs, staffing agency communication, and community recruitment when needed. Pre-Screening & Offers Initiate background checks through Checkr. Coordinate drug screenings and ensure timely completion. Prepare and send offer letters through Rippling. Communicate onboarding timelines and expectations to candidates. Onboarding (30%) Manage all new-hire onboarding tasks within Rippling. Ensure all I-9, W-4, and E-Verify steps are completed correctly. Schedule and conduct Day 1 check-ins. Coordinate with IT for new hire setup. Ensure new employees receive all documents, handbook, safety orientation, and required training. Maintain consistency in onboarding processes across all departments. People Operations Support (5%) Assist with employee file updates within Rippling. Support HR Manager with data, reports, or communication as needed. Help maintain a positive and welcoming employee experience. Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of recruiting experience (in-house or agency). Experience conducting interviews and evaluating candidates. Strong communication skills — written and verbal. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment. Comfortable coordinating with multiple managers and departments. Experience with Rippling is a plus. Physical Demands: While this role is primarily office-based, the Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist will regularly interact with employees across warehouse, production, shipping, and dismantling areas. Physical requirements include: Ability to sit for long periods while conducting interviews and administrative work. Ability to walk through large warehouse spaces and yard areas for candidate tours. Ability to climb stairs and move between multiple buildings as needed. Ability to work in environments with variable temperatures (briefly entering warehouse or yard areas). Why Join Us? Easy!
