The Talent Acquisition Sourcer plays a critical role in supporting Sigma’s hiring efforts by proactively identifying, engaging, and screening qualified candidates. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, relationship-building, and strategic sourcing, particularly within telecommunications, power utility, engineering, or related technical industries. Candidates with experience in parallel industries and transferable sourcing skills are also encouraged to apply. Position Summary The Talent Acquisition Sourcer is responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and screening qualified candidates to support the organization’s hiring needs. This role partners closely with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to build talent pipelines, support active requisitions, and ensure an efficient, consistent recruiting process. Essential Job Functions Source and identify qualified candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, internal databases, referrals, and creative sourcing techniques Conduct outbound outreach and engage passive candidates through personalized messaging Perform initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications, skills, experience, and interest Partner with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to understand job requirements and hiring priorities Build, organize, and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs Track candidate activity, sourcing metrics, and pipeline data using ATS and recruiting tools Communicate market insights, candidate feedback, and sourcing trends to improve sourcing strategies Support diversity sourcing initiatives and equitable hiring practices Perform other job-related duties as assigned Requirements Requirements Education: Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, Sales, Communications, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, Sourcing, Staffing, or Sales Telecommunications, power utility, engineering, or infrastructure industry experience strongly preferred Experience sourcing for technical or hard-to-fill roles is a plus Must be discrete with a strong commitment to confidentiality and privacy guidelines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to think critically and adapt to changing situations Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort working in ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other resume databases Strong self-motivation with the ability to work independently Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as requested and needed Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and driving record check Authorized to work in the United States Physical Requirements Ability to endure frequent, lengthy periods of sedentary work Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods Physical ability to prepare and analyze data, transcribe notes, and view a computer terminal, requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and convey detailed instructions accurately, often in group settings Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and discriminate in sound About Sigma Technologies Sigma Technologies is a growing engineering and design firm with 500+ team members across 30+ states.
