Talent Acquisition Specialist Position Overview The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a pivotal member of the recruitment team, responsible for driving the full-cycle hiring process from requisition creation to offer acceptance. This role requires a proactive recruiter who can source, engage, and secure top talent while ensuring a seamless candidate experience. The specialist will partner closely with hiring managers to refine strategies, provide market insights, and deliver consistent communication throughout the recruitment journey. Beyond traditional recruiting, this position involves ATS management, compliance oversight, and collaboration with HR to support reference checks, documentation, and employment law adherence. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple requisitions while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and innovation. Key Responsibilities Job Requisition & Posting Management Collaborate with hiring managers to draft and refine job postings that align with role requirements. Support specialized programs, including internship initiatives. Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development Proactively source candidates through job boards, professional networks, staffing agencies, and industry platforms. Build and maintain talent pipelines to meet current and future hiring needs. Screening & Interview Coordination Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and manage interview scheduling. Partner with HR to conduct reference checks and ensure accurate documentation. Candidate Communication & Feedback Maintain clear, timely communication with candidates throughout the process. Gather feedback from candidates and hiring managers to continuously improve recruitment strategies. Offer Negotiation & Documentation Prepare and deliver offer letters and related documentation. Ensure smooth transition from candidate acceptance to onboarding. ATS Management & Reporting Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS. Track recruitment metrics and generate reports for leadership. Compliance & Documentation Support exclusivity agreements and required submissions in collaboration with HR and marketing. Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies. Innovative Recruiting Strategies Identify and leverage new platforms, job boards, and networking opportunities to attract top talent. Ongoing Communication & Reporting Participate in team huddles, kick-off meetings, and provide regular recruitment updates. Maintain tracking sheets and contribute to continuous process improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition. Background in the AEC industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) is required. Experience recruiting for roles such as job captains, construction managers, architects, and project managers. Familiarity with government project recruitment preferred; residential project experience acceptable. Proficiency with ATS systems (any platform). Ability to manage a requisition load of 5+ simultaneously. Expertise in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management. Skilled in leveraging platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, AIA, Glassdoor, Indeed, and other industry-specific sites. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
