ROLE SUMMARY

At Clark Construction Company, we are Building the Best Place to Work. Excited about receiving recognition on the Crain’s list for 6 consecutive years, we are looking to expand our team with like-minded, fun, and energetic people who demonstrate the values of our trust-based culture. These values are Competence, Reliability, Sincerity, and Care. As part of the broader HR and leadership team, we are seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us. The ideal candidate will be a strong part of our culture within the company, and build strong, long-term trust relationships with current and future team members. The position requires managing three to five critical roles simultaneously, overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process, including candidate relations and collaboration with hiring managers. You will work independently but also know when to engage with others for support and input. The ideal candidate has a background in recruiting within the construction industry and has successfully filled key positions such as Project Manager, Superintendent, Director, Vice President, and other vital roles. They will also be an ambassador for our unique and welcoming culture and participate in activities that give back to our communities. In return, you will be able to represent a company who follows through on their promises and commitments to candidates; and also, be part of a company who genuinely cares for their team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to set expectations and provide consistent updates throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Manage a portfolio of 3–5 critical job requisitions, ensuring timely progress and a positive candidate experience.
  • Proactively source and engage both active and passive candidates via LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, social media, industry networks, and personal contacts.
  • Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines, nurturing candidate relationships even when no roles are available.
  • Build relationships by maintaining contact with candidates during recruitment and after hire, helping them feel valued and connected to the company culture.
  • Communicate the company’s values, culture, and opportunities effectively to candidates.
  • Utilize ATS/CRM and HRIS tools to track candidate activity, sourcing strategies, and recruitment metrics.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and HR team members to align hiring priorities and secure approval for key decisions.
  • Demonstrate urgency and ownership in moving candidates through the process while ensuring a positive, professional journey.
  • Represent the company at industry events, boards, and networking opportunities to broaden recruiting outreach.
  • Participate in our Living our Values company events in the community.
