(NCI) is a family-owned and operated Construction and Contracting business headquartered in Columbia, MD with offices in Richmond, VA, Royal Palm Beach and Orlando, FL with a team of 170 employees. NCI is a full-service general contractor focused on providing premier services in all aspects of the construction process, from concept to completion. We manage a broad range of commercial construction projects, including new construction, tenant fit outs, and renovations. NCI services a diverse group of markets including federal, state, and local governments, as well as a variety of corporate and special industry organizations that require complex life safety and critical infrastructure needs.
Nichols Contracting located in Columbia, Maryland is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone with a passion for finding the right talent for the organizations growing needs. The TA Specialist will drive the TA process and work with the Director of Human Resources to manage the recruiting and sourcing of professionals in the construction industry space. The TA Specialist will have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Duties to include but not limited to:

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications, Business or related degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience sourcing and identifying talent across multiple disciplines in a growing company
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication
  • Has proven ability to provide exceptional customer service

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 plus performance-based bonus incentives

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Strong sourcing and research skills to identify candidates across various channels
  • Ability to critically evaluate candidate qualifications and fit for the role
  • Build and maintain a quality talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruitment tools
  • Build and manage relationships with college and trade school outplacement personnel
  • Stay up to date on the latest recruiting tools in the market
  • Collaborate with HR Administrator to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires
  • Assist Director of HR in managing key KPI’s in recruiting and retention for the company such as time to hire, retention rates, offer to hire and cost of hire.
  • Establish relationships with hiring managers across the organization to understand the roles and staffing needs.
  • Manage the recruiting process to include setting up interview logistics, making offers and ensuring all stakeholders are in compliance and following proper established hiring procedures.
  • Craft an employee value proposition that aligns with the organizations mission and values and effectively communicate the message to prospective talent
  • Assist HR Director with retention and culture initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
