We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for our plastics manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the full-cycle recruiting process along with onboarding and retention, and will play a key role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for skilled trades, production, technical, and professional roles.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience for a variety of roles in multiple departments preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates and build relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and compliance regulations related to hiring and recruitment.
  • Knowledge of labor market trends and local talent pools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience using recruitment software.
  • Paylocity experience is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating, and onboarding candidates for a variety of roles in the plant and office.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and plant leadership to understand workforce needs and build job profiles.
  • Utilize job boards, social media, local networks, and recruiting events to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for both current and future openings.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various positions across the company.
  • Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications.
  • Prepare and extend job offers.
  • Manage the candidate onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation, benefits enrollment, and other administrative tasks related to the hiring process.
  • Ensure all documentation, including contracts and compliance forms, are completed accurately.
  • Ensure timely communication with candidates regarding interview status, feedback, and next steps.
  • Act as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers, providing updates and feedback throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Partner with HR and operations to support internal mobility and retention initiatives.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics to evaluate hiring effectiveness and pipeline progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and company hiring practices.
  • Promote the company’s employer brand and ensure a positive experience for all candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, sourcing tools, and recruitment technologies to improve the recruitment process.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance candidate experience, streamline recruiting processes, and increase hiring efficiency.Participate in HR and recruitment-related projects or initiatives, including diversity and inclusion programs, employee engagement surveys, and workforce planning.
