  • Previous experience as a talent acquisition specialist, recruitment consultant staffing specialist or similar is essential
  • Experience in the drainage, utilities or retail industry will be beneficial
  • A full UK drivers licence
Responsibilities

FOR TRAINING PURPOSES, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO TRAVEL TO SLOUGH AROUND THREE DAYS A WEEK FOR UP TO THREE MONTHS (EXPENSES PAID).

Job Type: permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (start times to be discussed on interview)
Salary: competitive, depending upon experience

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Southern Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to recruitment problems.

  • Arrange and conduct interviews and candidate assessments centres.
  • Confirming with candidates that they will be still attending their interview and rearranging if needed.
  • Posting and amending job adverts which includes altering advert descriptions, reducing / increasing head count, changing managers…
  • Searching job boards for candidates who may not have applied but whose skill set matches our vacancies.
  • View and prepare applicants eligibility and drivers checks prior to offering.
  • Preparing induction paperwork including the referencing of applicants.
  • Keep recruitment paperwork updated and relevant, including but not limited to application forms, GDPR consent and interview note templates.
  • Managing relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Partnering with Southern Water to build talent pools for various areas of the business.
  • Work with closely with stakeholders on campaigns to attract new applicants.
  • Attend manager meetings to gain an understanding of recruitment needs (when required).
  • Manage, audit and update the recruitment system and trackers in line with applicants and roles to provide detailed data to the Head of People and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Conduct training for managers, support staff and aspiring leaders to guide them to do their own interviews, following our recruitment processes.
  • Conduct exit interviews with leavers to provide insights to address any differences in the market.
  • Keep up to date on changes in UK Employment Law, best practice and employment market trends.
  • Acting as main point of contact for all recruitment issues across the network.
  • Respond to ad hoc recruitment queries on a day-to-day basis.
  • Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
  • Embrace and promote Lanes Group values and culture.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects, tasks or duties as and when required or requested by the Senior Leadership Team.
