THE OPPORTUNITY

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the employee recruitment lifecycle. This includes identifying hiring needs, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.

What does the job entail?

  • Consult with department leaders to understand hiring needs and role requirements to develop job descriptions for open positions.
  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, and internal databases.
  • Maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Assess candidate qualifications, conduct phone interviews to evaluate candidate fit, facilitate a positive candidate experience, and provide recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and gather feedback.
  • Prepare and extend job offers and manage hiring paperwork.
  • Conduct background checks and assist employees with scheduling any other relevant prerequisites.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
  • Assist with other human resources department initiatives, as needed.

ARE YOU QUALIFIED?

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role or an education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant work experience while recruiting in a manufacturing or construction organization preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to manage multiple open roles and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in HRIS or recruiting software (e.g., ADP, NetSuite, Paycom, or similar platforms) as well as MS Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
