The Chén̓chenstway Human Resources Department is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support full-cycle recruitment for Squamish Nation departments across X̱etx̱ítayus Ch'áwch'aw Corporate Services. This role ensures that recruitment processes honour Squamish Nation values, fairness, cultural safety, and a high standard of professionalism.  You will work closely with hiring managers, candidates, and HR colleagues to coordinate recruitment activities, support onboarding, and help shape a strong, positive candidate experience rooted in respect, inclusivity, and trust. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Coordinate and schedule interviews while maintaining timely communication with applicants. * Respond to candidate inquiries regarding job postings, hiring timelines, and recruitment processes. * Draft, edit, and proofread recruitment-related documents, including follow-up emails and candidate communications. * Maintain accurate candidate records and update all information in the recruitment database. * Prepare and amend HR documents including offer letters, employment contracts, and recruitment guides. * Conduct background checks and reference checks as required. * Support the implementation of new HR initiatives, administrative improvements, and special projects. * Assist the wider Chén̓chenstway HR team with tasks connected to recruitment and workforce needs. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution. * Commitment to professional development in HR programs, employment law, coordination skills, and relevant computer applications. * Knowledge of Squamish Nation and mainstream HR best practices. * Experience with Office 365, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and general computer literacy. * Experience with ADP Workforce Now * High emotional intelligence, empathy, patience, and integrity. * Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills. * Able to remain calm under pressure and communicate difficult information respectfully. * A collaborative, positive, approachable team member. * Able to manage highly sensitive information with strict confidentiality. * Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.
