About the role: We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People & Culture function on a six-month fixed term contract. You'll take full ownership of end-to-end recruitment across a range of technical and operational roles. This is a hands-on delivery role. You'll be sourcing and qualifying candidates across a broad range of technical disciplines — from Systems Engineers and Mechanical Design Engineers to Software Engineers, Flight Test Engineers, and Mechatronics Engineers — coordinating interviews across multiple time zones, keeping hiring managers informed, and making sure no candidate gets lost in the pipeline. The right person for this role has initiative, asks the right questions, spots the gaps, chases what needs chasing, and will take genuine pride in delivering a great candidate experience. Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition Execute SYOS's company-wide talent acquisition strategy in alignment with our growth and expansion plans Develop creative sourcing strategies for niche technical and leadership roles — including disciplines such as Systems Engineering, Mechanical Design, Software Engineering, Flight Test, Mechatronics, Electronics, Composite Engineering, and Manufacturing Build and maintain warm talent pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, ensuring we have candidates in play ahead of business need Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Management Source passive and active candidates across technical disciplines using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, job boards, referral networks Qualify candidates against role briefs through screening calls and provide clear, evidence-based go/no-go recommendations to hiring managers Advertise roles across appropriate channels, crafting compelling job copy that attracts the right talent and accurately represents SYOS Full-Cycle Recruitment & Interview Coordination Manage end-to-end recruitment from advertising and sourcing through to offer stage — owning every step of the process Coordinate and schedule interviews, technical assessments, and panel sessions across multiple time zones, managing all logistics with attention to detail Chase hiring managers proactively to keep feedback loops tight and decisions moving at pace Ensure every candidate receives timely, professional communication at every stage Stakeholder Partnership Partner closely with hiring managers to understand technical and functional hiring needs, set realistic expectations on timelines and keep them accountable to agreed processes Guide and coach hiring stakeholders on best practice recruitment Provide regular pipeline and progress updates to the Head of People and flagging blockers early and recommending solutions Qualifications and Experience: Senior experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in technical or engineering recruitment Proven track record hiring across engineering disciplines — Aerospace, Defence, Robotics, Software/Hardware Engineering, or Advanced Manufacturing is strongly preferred Experience in high-growth environments where structured process didn't always exist and you had to build it as you went Comfortable managing multiple live roles simultaneously across different functions How to Apply: If you are a passionate recruitment specialist who is excited about the future of drone or aerospace technology and have a proven track record of success in your field, please apply now and we will be in touch if you are successful.
