We are currently seeking talented individuals who are eager to contribute to our highly strategic project and play a role in shaping a resilient and responsible rare earth industry in Canada.
Torngat Metals is seeking a qualified Recruiter to join its team located in Montreal. Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition & Training, this role is responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process from posting to offer. The role will evolve with the project’s advancement into operations.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in mining is an asset.
  • Experience in a recruitment agency-firm is an asset.
  • Hybrid experience in both large organizations and startups is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage 360 degree end-to-end recruitment across multiple departments (technical, operations, site support, and corporate).
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job needs, write compelling job descriptions, and develop tailored sourcing strategies.
  • Proactively source top talent using job boards, social media, industry networks, and direct outreach.
  • Screen, interview, and assess candidates, presenting strong shortlists to internal teams.
  • Coordinate interview processes, gather feedback, and support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring phases.
  • Manage applicant tracking systems and ensure data accuracy.
  • Track recruitment metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Ensure an outstanding candidate experience from application to onboarding.
  • Support recruitment marketing efforts (employer branding, career fairs, etc.).
  • Assist with strategic workforce planning as we scale.
