JOB SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Manager, Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC) will play a key role in driving talent acquisition strategies and workforce planning initiatives in APEC. Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition & Talent Management Solutions, Asia Pacific (APEC), the incumbent will collaborate closely with Regional Discipline Heads to understand hiring needs, talent gaps, and recruitment priorities, with a focus on executive committee and department head positions within hotels.
Responsibilities include leading and executing recruitment processes, driving strategic workforce planning initiatives, designing and executing talent acquisition projects and campaigns, and utilizing innovative sourcing techniques to attract top talent. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, and partnering with the Talent Management team to surface internal candidates for career opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the recruitment of managerial positions, strong stakeholder management skills, an understanding of APEC market trends, and hands-on experience in driving end-to-end recruitment processes and talent acquisition campaigns. Experience in the hospitality industry and leading talent acquisition projects is advantageous.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven track record in recruitment of managerial positions, with at least 3 years of experience in talent acquisition in a recruitment agency or corporate setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic workforce plans to support business objectives.
  • Understanding of APEC market trends, cultural nuances, and talent landscape.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, customer-focused, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making at the executive level.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Hands-on experience in driving end-to-end recruitment processes and talent acquisition campaigns.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry, and leading talent acquisition projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Senior Leadership: Collaborate with the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition & Talent Management Solutions, APEC, and Regional Discipline Heads to comprehend hiring needs and recruitment priorities at the hotel level, emphasizing executive committee and department head positions.
  • Recruitment Execution: Lead and execute end-to-end recruitment processes for designated disciplines within APEC, ensuring timely and effective hiring to fulfill business needs.
  • Outsourcing & Talent Pooling Collaboration: Work closely with the outsourcing team to manage recruitment processes, optimize external talent pipelines, and build a sustainable talent pool for future hiring needs.
  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Drive strategic workforce planning initiatives to anticipate talent needs and align with business growth objectives.
  • Talent Acquisition Projects and Campaigns: Design and execute talent acquisition projects and campaigns to attract top talent, enhance employer brand awareness, support sourcing efforts, and build a quality talent pool.
  • Innovative Sourcing Techniques: Utilize innovative sourcing techniques, including direct sourcing, relationship management, referral programs, networking, social media, and industry partnerships, to identify and attract top talent.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, hiring managers, and HR partners, to align recruitment strategies with business priorities.
  • Support to Hiring Managers: Provide support to hiring managers, including Area Discipline Leaders and General Managers, throughout the recruitment process for hotel-level executive committee and department head positions.
  • Talent Management Collaboration: Partner with the Talent Management team to identify internal candidates for career opportunities and track high-potential talent’s development plan and career progression.
  • Onboarding Support: Onboard and guide property HR leaders on the Marriott Talent Acquisition process and initiatives.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously measure and optimize recruitment processes and tools to enhance time to fill, candidate experience, and quality of hire.
  • Industry Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, market intelligence, technology, and best practices in talent acquisition and workforce planning to drive continuous improvement.
