ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Talent and Early Careers Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting recruitment and early career programmes that help shape the future workforce of WM New Zealand. From pre-employment checks and candidate sourcing to help manage our Māori Cadet and Graduate programmes, your work will help us attract, engage, and develop the best talent.
You’ll be the connector across our early career pathways, supporting everything from scholarship partnerships and school visits to career exposure events. This is a role that blends logistics, relationship management, and a strong sense of purpose.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Providing end-to-end recruitment support to the Talent team, such as candidate sourcing, pre-employment checks and generating employment contracts.
• Screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and maintaining our ATS – SmartRecruiters.
• Supporting early careers programmes like our Graduate Programme, and career pathways.
• Managing relationships with tertiary and education partners to deliver impactful career events and scholarship activity.
• Managing our recruitment inbox and hiring manager resources.
• Playing an active part in onboarding and induction for graduates, interns, and scholarship students.
