  • Desirable to have work experience in a training administration role and/or similar.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Talent Development Coordinator provides front line customer service for all staff and external third parties accessing learning and development support delivered through the Talent Development Team and provides broad administrative support in the delivery of a range of career development initiatives.
The range of administration and coordination support focuses on creating an exceptional employee experience and includes liaising with external training providers, internal stakeholders and cross business delivery partners through an efficient and effective service and delivery of talent development initiatives across the business.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide a range of broad administrative support as required to ensure effective and efficient delivery of learning as aligned to business requirements. This may include: analysing and producing reports on activity, monitoring enrolment and completion statistics, reviewing evaluations and taking action on trends if required and designing and managing file systems ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Acknowledge learning and development requests for training and where appropriate provide advice on recommended next steps and/or solutions through liaison with subject matter experts or training delivery teams across the business as relevant.
  • Provide full administrative support to ensure an exceptional employee experience in the delivery of the development portfolio, such as training bookings, purchase orders and checking invoice data, arranging courses, preparing materials, calendar planning, events, venues, hospitality, prepare joining instructions, preparing and printing course materials plus onsite support as required.
  • Configure and maintain the learning management systems including liaising with training providers in the set up, providing front line support and advice for staff, coordinating with key stakeholders (e.g. crew training team, port training team, IT) resolving issues to ensure training is available and data is accurate and up to date.
  • Lead systems expert for training systems administration (e.g. training set up, record keeping and reporting) providing support and expert advice to administrators/staff across the business, liaising with IT/vendors as required, supporting set up activity, ensuring mechanisms are in place to ensure effective and efficient deployment of the training system for all staff.
  • Support the business to track and facilitate the career development of employees via the tools and approaches developed as part of career planning and succession strategies.
  • Working in partnership with the talent development team to promote, coordinate, implement and monitor staff development interventions and programmes for all staff across the business.
  • Support line managers in Support Services in the delivery of technical training requirements (e.g. health and safety, industry related) including sourcing training suppliers, costings/funding, delivery planning and evaluation.
  • Liaison with third parties (e.g. training suppliers, DYW, schools) to promote and support career development initiatives and programmes (e.g. work experience placements, foundation apprenticeships) building positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Work with learning and development teams across the business to share best practice, collaborate, contribute to shared initiatives, and ensure continuity of an efficient and effective service for all staff.
  • Support the team in the design, development and deployment of a range of staff communications, campaigns and resources to promote personal development planning for all staff. This includes design, development and maintenance of the company intranet site for learning and development.
  • Monitor and maintain a range of systems, digital folders/files and records through tracking and updating including central records and files accessible by the Talent Development Team and budget tracking for the service.
