TALENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT LEAD - AMERICAS

Our Regional T&OD Department is searching for its next T&OD Lead, who will have the mission to lead and facilitate the Talent & Development agenda at the local level including talent processes, training and development initiatives, performance management and Inclusion and Diversity initiatives. Creates and develops local strategies to enable the delivery of business priorities, working collaboratively with business leaders, People Directors and local People teams.

Among the main functions to be performed are:

  • Leads regional talent management strategies, activities, programs, and tools at a local level, to ensure the business is fully equipped with the leadership skills and capabilities required to deliver both current and future business performance.
  • Manages and ensures the effective and accurate capture, recording and reporting of local talent, learning & development data. Draw insights and make informed decisions and business recommendations together with People Director
  • Facilitates the necessary tools, training and local preparation for the annual Talent Review process, working collaboratively with People Director and Business Partners in understanding the concepts and management of the Identification of Potential and Succession of leadership commands.
  • Generates local strategies and action plans together with the People Director derived from the Talent Review (Succession, Development, skills).
  • Implements the agenda of regional Inclusion and Diversity strategy, identifying local initiatives to support/maximize the creation of an inclusive and diverse culture to impact the employee experience and enhance the delivery of the business strategy.
  • Collaboratively leads the implementation of the regional Learning & Development strategy (Together with Regional L&D Lead and People Business Partners) at the local level, ensuring the alignment of the portfolio and local training initiatives to guarantee the development of the necessary skills and abilities in employees, to enhance the delivery of business strategy. Facilitates trainings or team sessions to strengthen or develop key competencies on teams, leaders or the People Function community (competencies related to Talent, Leadership or other key skills)
  • Utilises and shares best practice with Talent & Development colleagues in other markets in Americas, to minimise duplication in effort and maximise utilisation of resources and internal best practice
  • Leads the implementation of the Performance Management Cycle in the business unit, communicating in a timely manner and guiding the People team on the Inchcape framework of performance management. Provides the necessary training to equip People leaders and teams in understanding the performance management cycle, systems and processes to generate quality conversations.
  • Supports the implementation of the employee experience or pulse surveys and guides People function on how to facilitate action plans in place for the market to impact attraction, retention, and engagement
  • Facilitates and supports the implementation, understanding and use of talent related platforms and systems in the business unit, to facilitate the performance management process (People Hub), the delivery of Learning & Development (LMS) initiatives and the Employee Experience (Qualtrics)
  • Collaboratively leads (People Director, People Team, Communications Team) the implementation of the Accelerate Strategy in terms of understanding and experience by employees through local initiatives

WE WILL MATCH YOU IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in creating, sourcing, and implementing a broad range of pragmatic, innovative development solutions for all levels of leader, up to and including senior management level, in fast paced, customer centric environments.
  • Previous experience in HR generalist roles or COE roles, talent management and succession planning; identifying and implementing activities to develop talent pipelines (internal and external), strengthening of organizational culture and work environment.
  • Ability to manage talent data, generate and utilize insight to make informed decisions and business recommendations.
  • Working collaboratively through an international matrix structure, providing services to several countries and senior stakeholders from different backgrounds, gaining colleague engagement, commitment and buy-in to delivery.
  • Highly skilled and experienced in all forms of communication at all levels, demonstrating deep subject matter expertise balanced with pragmatic understanding of business need/priorities.
  • Flexible and adaptable; a proven track record of and preference for working in change environments with ambiguity. Able to influence across different levels and teams, within a matrix organization.
  • Self-starter; highly skilled and hands on in both creating clear strategies and plans and delivering practical, pragmatic actions, with minimal guidance.
  • Skilled in solution generation – with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and approach to overcoming obstacles.
  • Proven Facilitation & Teaching Skills
  • Advanced English level (B2 or above).
