JOB DESCRIPTION

The Talent Development Manager is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of talent management initiatives to optimize the organization’s performance, talent development, and overall effectiveness. This role plays a critical part in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to drive the company’s success and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
The Talent Development Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, including HR leaders, department heads, and executives, to align talent strategies with overall business objectives to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and capabilities. Additionally, this role will lead and support various initiatives related to DEI, Employee Engagement, Employer Branding and communications, and community service to promote employer identity and corporate social responsibility.

ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN & EFFECTIVENESS

  • Assess organizational structures, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency, communication, and collaboration.
  • Maintain and update property leadership organizational charts.
  • Implement change management strategies and establish KPIs to measure the impact of organizational initiatives.
  • Maintain HR infrastructure, improving policies, documents, job descriptions, and organizational charts.
  • Promote and train the HR team on AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance productivity.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • SHRM CP/SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR preferred. ATSD (or other training) certification preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong leadership and communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • First-in-class platform and presentation abilities.
  • Enthusiastic team player who supports the overall human resources team and our hotel teams with a positive approach and attitude.
  • Remain positive, resourceful and possess the ability to improvise while working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure. Embraces new things.
  • Superior organization and time management skills, the ability to schedule, manage and complete work effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to use metrics and analytics.
  • Curious and always eager to learn.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in training, talent development, organizational design, or human resources.
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, and corporate office environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing successful learning and development programs.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in talent management and organizational development.
