The Opportunity Cochlear has a newly created opportunity for a Talent Growth Director. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in bringing our enterprise talent strategy to life. This involves working with key stakeholders to identify and prioritise critical succession gaps, assess bench strength, and connect insights across Talent Acquisition and Talent Development. The Talent Growth Director will work closely with senior leaders, business partners, and centres of expertise to prioritise key roles and talent opportunities and shape strategies to build and acquire high-calibre talent for future business needs. Responsibilities include: Working with key stakeholders across a global, matrix organisation to understand Cochlear’s enterprise-level talent landscape and business needs to enable the identification and prioritisation of talent needs and opportunities. Developing strategies and taking action to strengthen succession planning and build a diverse pipeline of future leaders and talent across our critical talent segments, across time horizons. Identifying those roles and skills where internal expertise and knowledge is critical or where external expertise can be sourced, to inform build, buy and borrow activities. Partnering with Talent Acquisition to map, identify and build external talent pools. Continue to challenge the status quo, taking every opportunity to instil a mind-set and practice of ensuring organisation and role design optimises opportunity for business growth and value creation into the future. Ensuring a tight linkage between recruitment, talent planning, succession and business partnering activities to ensure we are tapping into our internal talent pools and optimising growth and development opportunities for employees as much as possible. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience: Strong understanding of succession planning, talent pipeline development, and build/buy/borrow strategies. Experience in senior-level recruitment and external talent pooling, ideally with exposure to both Talent Acquisition and Talent Development. Commercial acumen with ability to link business priorities to talent strategies, over both short and longer-term time horizons. Proven ability to influence and collaborate across a matrix organisation without direct authority. Agility and comfort working in ambiguity, pivoting as priorities evolve.
