QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field (CHRP/CHRL in progress is an asset).
  • 3+ years of HR leadership experience in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record in high-volume or mass recruitment.
  • Strong understanding of the Employment Standards Act, AODA, and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing employee relations, performance management, and terminations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with JazzHR is an asset.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Talent Manager leads Sentient HR’s talent acquisition efforts, ensuring we meet and exceed staffing needs for supply, contract, and permanent roles. You’ll manage and coach a team of virtual recruiters, implement innovative mass recruitment strategies, and enhance our employee value proposition to attract and retain the best.
This is a role for someone who thrives on balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, and who finds energy in hitting and exceeding recruitment KPIs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of virtual recruiters.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with colleges, employment agencies, and industry associations.
  • Research and implement new recruiting strategies; track and measure their success.
  • Oversee and improve the onboarding experience for supply staff.
  • Administer policies and promote positive supply staff relations.
  • Partner with leadership to align recruitment strategies with operational needs.
  • Plan, test, and optimize rewards, recognition, and referral programs.
  • Oversee participation in job fairs (virtual and in-person) and related marketing efforts.
  • Provide timely, accurate HR metrics and recruitment performance reports.
