SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in a HR, Business, or related field would be great, but solid experience in a similar role is just as valuable.
  • Experience in a recruitment role in a fast paced, high-volume environment, with a proactive focus on sourcing great people.
  • Experience in recruiting within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities is highly desirable.
  • Ability to use social media and other sourcing channels to find great people and start a conversation that can turn into a placement.
  • Great relationship management skills with the ability to quickly build effective relationships to consult with, coach, mentor and guide people leaders to build their capability in executing quality recruitment processes.
  • A drive to deliver for the leaders you’re supporting, and an understanding that you doing your job well helps them be great at theirs.
  • A passion to create a great candidate experience. People deserve better!
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Talent Specialist is a vital and important member of the Talent team responsible for partnering with senior leaders, managers and team leaders to identify workforce needs and develop and implement strategies to identify, source, and attract top talent to join our organisation.
As a trusted and valued partner, you will extend your knowledge and skill coordinating internal and external recruitment campaigns utilising both active and passive candidate sourcing techniques using a variety of media and methods. You will be supported by a multi-disciplinary People & Culture team comprising of HR Business Partners, a HR operations team, WHS team and the other members of the Talent Team.

DUTIES

  • Provide expert advice, coaching, insights and innovative solutions to help source highly sought after professionals in a candidate short and competitive job market.
  • Develop relationships and networks, nurture connections, all in the name of being able to find that great person who is right for the role.
  • Create talent pipelines using talent pools with applicant tracking systems, social media, and networking.
  • Bring practical solutions to complex issues, knowing that one size doesn’t fit all.
  • Demonstrate respect and curiosity to understand, learn, challenge the status quo and influence where needed. Collaborate effectively both within the People & Culture team and cross-functionally.
