Job Description:
We are seeking a Tandoori Chef with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in preparing a wide variety of tandoori dishes including kebabs, tikkas, tandoori chicken, seafood, and fresh naan breads. The ideal candidate must be creative, disciplined, and possess strong leadership and time-management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook all tandoori dishes and breads in a clay tandoor oven
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all items
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the tandoor station
Monitor inventory and coordinate with kitchen staff for daily prep
Adhere to food safety guidelines and kitchen protocols
Collaborate with the head chef to innovate and refine menu items
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when required
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with tandoor cooking and naan preparation
Expertise in marination, grilling techniques, and tandoor maintenance
Strong knowledge of traditional Indian/Pakistani spices and ingredients
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Professional, punctual, and reliable with a team-player attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary diploma or professional chef certification
Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant setting
Familiarity with Indo-Pakistani regional cuisine is a plus
