JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and passionate Tandoor/Grill Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at our Indian street food restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with grilling & marination with and a strong understanding of Indian flavours. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to a lively and collaborative culinary environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Tandoor Chef or in a similar Indian kitchen role
  • Skilled in tandoori preparation, grilling, marination, and cooking techniques
  • Strong knowledge of Indian spices, chutneys, marination.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene protocols
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with good communication and multitasking skills
  • Passion for Indian cuisine and commitment to exceptional food quality

Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage Grill station & Rational Combi oven for cooking meats.
  • Prepare and cook dishes following authentic recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and timely service
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Support and train junior kitchen staff as needed
  • Assist in menu development and introduce seasonal or innovative items
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly
  • Work closely with the head chef and front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations
