About the job Are you commercially minded, well connected in shipping and excited by the pace of the tanker market? We are looking for a Tanker Shipbroker (m/f/d) to join our Hamburg office and play an active role in the further development of our tanker business. In this role, you will be close to the market every day: building relationships, identifying opportunities, supporting negotiations and helping to conclude spot fixtures. You will work with shipowners, charterers, operators and other market participants in an international and fast-moving environment. Your mission Broker spot business within the tanker market. Build, maintain and develop strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, operators and other market participants. Identify cargo and tonnage opportunities and contribute to new business development. Monitor market developments, including vessel positions, cargo flows, freight rates and supply-demand trends. Prepare market updates, position lists and commercial analyses to support daily broking activities. Support negotiations and contribute to the successful conclusion of fixtures. Assist with the review and negotiation of charter party terms. Provide clients with reliable market insights and commercial advice throughout the chartering process. Your profile We would like to hear from you if you bring: Experience in shipbroking, tanker chartering or a comparable commercial role within shipping. A good understanding of the tanker market and spot chartering processes. A strong commercial mindset and confidence in communicating with clients and market participants. Good negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term business relationships. An analytical, proactive and reliable way of working. Fluent English skills. Why us?
