JOB SUMMARY

Celebrating 20 years in business this year, Fuchsia School of Dance is a thriving and successful dance school offering high quality training in all genres of dance to students aged 2 through to adults.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern, Tap and Lyrical Teacher to join our friendly and dedicated team two nights a week, with the possibility of more hours in the future. The ideal candidate would hold a teaching qualification with the ISTD (or be in the process of seeking this qualification).

REQUIREMENTS

• A recognised teaching qualification in your area.
• Experience teaching children through to adults. Previous teaching experience is preferred, newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of the ISTD Syllabus (Modern and Tap).
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching children to adults.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all levels and ages.
• Full DBS check required.
• Own transportation is essential. Free car park is available.

• Deliver engaging, progressive and technically sound classes to students of all ages.
• Prepare and enter students for ISTD exams in Modern and Tap.
• Choreograph exciting and creative routines for our upcoming show in January 2026, competitions and performances.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues.
• Maintain professionalism both in and out of the studio.
