Join our small dynamic team and showcase your culinary skills in our friendly neighbourhood bar in the city centre. As a chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests. With your skills, attention to detail, and creativity, you will contribute to the success of our business.
This is usually weekend work shared with another full time chef - Friday, Saturday and Sunday but we can be flexible for the right person. You will be required to work on your own sometimes. Holiday cover also needed so flexibility is key here!
We sometimes offer Spanish style brunch on Sunday’s ( option to expand this )

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Chef / Cook or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • Ability to lead and motivate
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

Responsibilities

DUTIES

To prepare and cook a simple tapas menu to a very high standard, follow recipes & preparation methods, to order from suppliers, to complete daily compliance records, maintain 5* score from environmental health authority.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare all food items as directed in a clean, tidy and timely manner.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
Take every opportunity to discuss ideas with members & obtain constructive feedback.
Ability to operate all the kitchen equipment with the correct training in a safe and proper
manner.
Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards.
Ensure that all food is stored in the correct manner and that stock rotation is properly
carried out.
Understand and control stock ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum.
