Description
Global Engineering & Technology (GET) is searching for a Task Area Manager (TAM) to guide a large team of highly dedicated experts, providing Specialized Technical Services to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in Germantown, Maryland. Duties: The TAM manages contractual efforts in a defined program/task area(s) to ensure responsiveness to job requests as outlined in the Performance Work Statement. This individual also: Provides resource management for all contractor employees Assesses workload on a weekly basis and re- assigns staff as needed to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner Ensures quality and quantity of work Frequently interfaces with the Federal customer to ensure customer satisfaction Ensures administrative staff are cross-trained in different administrative duties to provide adequate coverage during peak workloads Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management. This may be a combination of private sector, civil service, or military experience. Experience in quality assurance, development and implementation of progress measurement tools, and a detailed knowledge of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, Executive Order 13526, and DOE classification regulations and policies are required for this position. Education: This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in such fields as one of the engineering disciplines or physical sciences.
