Description Responsible for leading and executing strategic HR initiatives across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention. Oversees hiring processes and workflow optimization, including offer letter automation and system enhancements within Paylocity. Manages key annual HR programs such as open enrollment (union and non-union), vacation bidding, handbook updates, and collective bargaining-related increases. Provides leadership in employee relations, including disciplinary action review, grievance management, and response handling. Ensures accuracy and compliance through payroll register audits, system change reviews, and benefits administration (including 401(k) updates). Develops and implements workforce training programs, including leadership development, safety, and risk management initiatives. Partners with operations to enhance the employee experience through workplace and café refresh initiatives, while maintaining compliance with union agreements and organizational policies. Requirements Required Experience & Qualifications 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role Strong experience in a unionized environment, including collective bargaining agreements, grievance handling, and employee relations Proven experience managing full-cycle HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred), including process optimization, reporting, and system audits Experience leading open enrollment processes, benefits administration, and 401(k) programs Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive employee engagement and retention Experience facilitating training programs, including leadership development, compliance, and safety training Strong knowledge of federal, state (Washington), and local labor laws and HR best practices Experience in hospitality or service-based industries strongly preferred Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills Nice-to-Have (but not required): Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) Experience working with multi-department operations or properties
