TASTING ROOM ASSOCIATE

Little Engine Wines is a family owned & operated artisanal winery on the Naramata Bench focused on producing premium wines from the highest quality grape varietals of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot.

We are seeking full-time and part-time Tasting Room Associates full-time and part-time Tasting Room Associate positions.

  • September–October: Full-time or part-time availability

As a Tasting Room Associate, you’ll help promote the sale of wine, wine club memberships, food, and retail products while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Age & Certification: Must be at least 19 years old and possess a valid Serving It Right certificate.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills are essential for teamwork and customer service.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule required; must be available to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and some evening/private events.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to work outdoors and stand for extended periods, with the capability to lift and carry cases of wine weighing 44+ lbs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Wine Knowledge: WSET or other applicable wine knowledge certificates are advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer/POS skills, including data entry, are considered an asset.
  • Work Ethic: A strong sense of pride in working for a premium winery and commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
  • Engagement and Tastings: Interact with visitors to conduct wine tastings, sharing knowledge and enhancing their experience.
  • Point of Sale Operations: Manage the Point of Sale and appointment booking systems (Commerce7).
  • Wine Club Promotion: Actively promote the Little Engine Wine Club and assist in enrolling new members.
  • Logistics: Handle packing shipments, stocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness in the tasting room.
  • Event Assistance: Support the organization and execution of winery events.
