Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, your job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Producing a set of accounts for a company, trust, partnership, self-managed super funds including balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements
  • Preparation and lodgement of company and individual taxation returns
  • Providing taxation advice for companies, individuals, partnerships, trusts, self-managed super funds and business structuring
  • Preparation of board reports, budgets, cash flow forecasts and management reports
  • Setting up of new legal entities for clients
  • Providing bookkeeping/payroll and related accounting services where required
  • Providing support and management of junior team members
  • Client management services

You must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of public practice experience in Australia in a tax-related role
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting practices, standards and taxation law
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders
  • High level of attention to detail and numeracy skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask across multiple client projects
  • Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and a wide range of other accounting software packages.
  • Almost completed or already obtained CA or CPA qualification
