The role As part of our Tax team, your responsibilities will align to your experience level, with support to progress and develop as a leader over time. At Senior / Supervisor level, you will be: Drafting advice for clients on tax issues Preparing tax returns for a range of entities Reviewing financial statements Providing advice in respect of international tax issues, including transfer pricing Preparing or reviewing GST, FBT, NRWT, RWT and income tax returns Identifying tax risks for clients At Manager level, you will deliver top-notch tax advice, aligning it with our clients' overall business strategies. You'll handle diverse tax tasks across all areas with specialist support when needed. From day one, you'll manage and develop relationships with well-established clients, including inbound multinationals, innovative exporters, and leading New Zealand businesses. Be part of a team of proud tax all-rounders, offering advice and support across all tax types while having the opportunity to build specialist knowledge in areas you're passionate about. Engage in a mix of tax consulting and compliance work, with opportunities to interact directly with clients, handle restructuring, tax due diligence projects, and assist with Inland Revenue audits and disputes. Collaborate with Baker Tilly network members worldwide. About you We’re open to candidates at different stages of their career, and we’ll tailor the role accordingly. You’ll likely bring: Degree in an Accounting or related discipline (an LLB would be an additional benefit) 3-6 years’ experience in a reputable professional services firm CA or CPA qualification (or actively working towards it) Strong skills in TaxLab and Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and confidence communicating with clients and colleagues Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and strong time management skills Experience in or openness to using AI and associated tools to increase your effectiveness We value diversity We value diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
