ROLE SUMMARY: The Tax Accountant provides general support to the Tax Department with multi-state sales tax and franchise tax filings, collaboration with outside tax advisors for domestic and international income taxes and a variety of research questions. This is a fast-paced position for someone who thrives on keeping up with tax law changes and who can manage various deadlines. LOCATION: South of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, NW corner of W. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist, prepare and timely file the approved multi-state sales tax and franchise tax filings Collaborate with outside tax advisors for preparation and timely filing of US Federal and international income taxes Assist and collaborate on VAT filings with EU subsidiaries and affiliates Provide timely responses to a variety of research questions on sales tax, state and Federal income tax Assist and analyze any notices received from tax authorities Assist and provide support for all tax audits Assist, observe, research and otherwise advise on tax compliance Position reports to Corporate Tax Manager Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 1- 3 years progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or private sectors Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Multi-state tax experience is preferred MBA or CPA preferred Knowledge of Avalara preferred Advanced proficiency in Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, data reporting, and analysis) WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Strong communication skills – Excellent written and verbal abilities, with clarity and professionalism.
