Description Scentsy is looking for a Tax Accountant to assist with domestic income tax matters such as tax compliance, controversy, and planning. Hours: This position is open to Full-Time or Part-Time. What You'll Do: Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, and trust tax returns Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments Assist the Tax team with tracking and updating the tax calendar to ensure timely completion of all filing and reporting obligations Review financial data for proper application of tax laws Aid on tax audits and controversy matters Work with AP, AR and Accounting teams to ensure tax compliance Work collaboratively to evaluate the tax effect and implications of business initiatives, contemplated transactions, and business proposals Stay current with tax law changes and implement new processes and strategies Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a public accounting firm Prior experience filing tax returns CPA designation or currently in progress to obtain CPA Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills Highly detail oriented with excellent organization, work coordination, and follow through skills Strong project management skills Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to work in a fast paced, informal, and often ambiguous environment Proficient knowledge of ERP systems and an accounting environment, SAP preferred Advanced knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Microsoft Office Suite and online research software
