Description

As a TruckPro Property Tax Accountant, you will support property tax compliance for a nationwide footprint of retail, service, and distribution locations. You’ll prepare and file property tax returns and business license renewals across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with tax authorities, internal teams, and software systems to ensure timely, accurate filings and payments. You’ll also respond to tax notices and maintain detailed records to support audit readiness and ongoing compliance.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented tax professional with multi-state experience and a proactive approach to managing deadlines and documentation.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Prepare and file property tax returns and related statutory filings for all applicable local and state jurisdictions
  • File and renew business license applications across TruckPro locations
  • Research and respond to property tax notices and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of business tax filings, deadlines, and correspondence
  • Reconcile monthly tax-related general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed
  • Process property tax and business license payments, ensuring timely remittance
  • Verify and update sales tax exemption certificates from customers as needed
  • Support internal teams with tax-related inquiries, audits, or special projects as assigned
