Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of tax accounting for the U.S. consolidated group and other U.S. entities as applicable in a paperless work environment.

  • Responsible for the computation and review of the quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with U.S GAAP and IFRS including the development and accuracy of the effective tax rate.
  • Manage the financial statement audit related to the tax accounting process to ensure a comprehensive, timely and accurate preparation. Complete the tax accounting close process that results in no financial statement restatement or out-of-period adjustments.
  • Issue identification and development of supporting documentation for all tax account balances including deferred tax assets/liabilities, income tax payable, FIN48, valuation allowance, and return-to-provision true-up.
  • Preparation of the tax footnote and other tax disclosures for SEC reporting on Forms 10-K and Q, separate audited financial statements, and foreign parent reporting.
  • Develop strong working relationships with accounting, finance, treasury, and operation teams to collaborate and implement tax strategies and mitigate exposures in coordination with external auditor and third-party advisors.
  • Function as the subject matter expert with the ability to explain complex tax accounting matters and make recommendations impacting the financial statements to Tax/Accounting/Finance leadership and management.
  • Remain current on latest tax law and legislative changes. Coordinate research and/or prepare technical memoranda on various tax issues as required.
  • Evaluate processes and tools and coordinate efforts to improve and streamline tax provision processes to gain efficiency, enhance accuracy, and implement best practices.
  • Manage and monitor SOX 404 compliance over the tax accounting process including internal and external reviews.
  • Manage, mentor, and evaluate tax staff and business partners. Train, develop, and recruit talent for the income tax team.

Assist in managing all aspects of income Tax compliance for the U.S. consolidated group and other U.S. entities.

  • Assist in the review of original and amended income, capital tax and information returns, estimated tax and extension to file requests.
  • Assist in managing preparation and ensuring filings are prepared in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in managing tax compliance preparation with consideration of financial statement reporting and taxing authority audits.
  • Assist in supporting tax audit, planning, and project functions as necessary and ensuring audit exposures are appropriately addressed for financial statement purposes.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as necessary.
