Job Title: Tax Specialist Please note that this position is based fully onsite in Piscataway, NJ with lunch provided. The estimated salary range (dependent upon experience level) is $55,000 - $60,000. Responsibilities: Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns for multiple entities. Research and provide solutions with state and local tax issues, including compliance, advisory consulting, audit defense, refund claiming, and tax planning. Conduct sales tax code determination and taxability assessment for products and services. Manage customer exemption certificate database within the tax automation system. Conduct nexus analysis, voluntary disclosure analysis, and notice analysis. Research and provide taxability guidance for company purchase orders. Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies to diminish tax burden. Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes. Manage and maintain the company’s tax database. Manage the vendor info and filing form 1099. Support other accounting tasks as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field. A minimum of 2- 3 years’ experience in indirect tax. International taxation/tax planning working experience is preferred. Good understanding of MS Office and accounting software. In-depth knowledge of accounting vs. taxation different treatment. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
