Company Description Group Tax Advisor for Europe’s second largest residential manager Heimstaden is a pan-European real estate investor and manager. The Team Pursue efficient tax structures that are in compliance with international tax standards. The Group Tax team is a growing team that consists of seven tax professionals. Key areas of work / goals: Tax structuring support on all transactions (acquisitions, divestments, restructuring, privatisations) Support in identification of material structuring opportunities and cost-saving initiatives Support in capital structure and internal funding metrics Support on tax controversy matters Support in bank (re)financing to secure cash upstreaming and tax aspects Support on Pillar II reporting requirements Support in Transfer Pricing policy and documentation Support with optimisation of VAT structures and efficiency improvement projects for VAT compliance This role will report to the Director of Group Tax. This is a full-time position open for candidates based in Oslo or Copenhagen. Job Description You will play a pivotal role in our team by: Provide support in tax/VAT initiatives/project matters to the Heimstaden business units by working closely with Treasury, Legal, Accounting and Corporate Finance amongst others. Support on tax audits, contacts with tax authorities and other relevant authorities in cooperation with local Tax/Finance teams. Support on acquisitions and reorganizations from a tax perspective. Involved in developing Heimstaden tax processes, including supporting the review of quarterly tax calculations from the operating countries together with local Tax/Finance teams and Group Accounting/Controlling. Manage tax advisors and other external advisors in the tax area at Group level and engage in appointing and determining scope and use of tax advisors at Country Level in cooperation with local tax/Finance teams. Work actively to be at the forefront of analysis/implementation of international and local changes to regulations that may affect the Group's tax burden. Support in the information collection process and preparation of local/Master files using Heimstaden’s preferred Transfer Pricing tools. Ad hoc tasks related to the Tax function as may be required based on priorities and needs. Qualifications To be an ideal fit for our team, you possess: About 1-3 years of combined experience of work as in- house counsel, tax authority or Big4 Recent Graduates with relevant intern experience are also encouraged to apply Academic or professional experience with Corporate tax, Transfer Pricing and Value Added Tax (VAT) is an advantage General understanding of International tax and M&A is recommended MSc. In (Tax) law and/or Finance Good commercial and social skills.
