Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking to recruit a qualified tax professional to join our growing tax team. This role would be suited to a qualified CTA/ATT/ACCA/ACA (or qualified by experience) looking to join a progressive and forward-thinking practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the tax aspects of a portfolio of owner managed businesses and their proprietors including the preparation of company tax returns, partnerships tax returns and personal tax returns including managing client relationships.
  • Providing proactive tax planning advice to the firm’s clients along with completing tax advisory projects (with the Tax Partner’s support where appropriate). Providing training and support for tax associates and apprentices in the team helping them with improving technical knowledge and career progression.
  • Proactively helping the firm with marketing activities and being involved in strategic meetings for the tax team’s business.
  • Managing a compliance portfolio of personal, partnership and company tax returns to include monitoring of billing and work in progress.
  • Managing and developing deep client relationships.
  • To liaise proactively with clients on advisory matters and upsell advisory opportunities for clients within your team.
  • Tax planning within the firm.
  • To assist the Partners on complex technical assignments.
  • To assist in marketing and strategic planning of the tax team business.
