Tax Advisor How does the role impact the organization? We are seeking a Tax Preparation Leader to oversee the preparation, review, and filing of personal client T1 tax returns while ensuring compliance with CRA requirements and firm standards. This role involves guiding clients through the tax process, managing a team and driving operational efficiency during peak tax season. What will your role be responsible for? Tax Preparation and Review: Supervise and review client tax returns, including complex filings (trusts, business income, cross-border scenarios potentially). Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance and updates throughout the tax preparation process. Filing and Compliance: Ensure timely filing of returns and adherence to CRA regulations and internal policies. Team leadership: Mentor junior staff, delegate tasks and maintain quality control standards. Process improvement: Implement best practices and leverage electronic tools to streamline workflows. To qualify for this opportunity you possess: CPA designation or equivalent in good standing strongly preferred. Minimum of five years experience in tax preparation and review. Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with tax software and electronic filing systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
