Description
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to gain experience in corporate income tax, accounting, and compliance within a multinational organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, International Tax Strategy, the Tax Analyst will play a key role in Canadian income tax compliance, tax accounting, and audits, while also supporting the implementation of tax strategies. Prepare and file Canadian corporate income tax and information returns, including accurate maintenance of filing records and assessments. Prepare quarterly tax provision packages and complete related tax account reconciliations. Calculate income tax instalments and prepare tax cash forecasts. Monitor non-resident payments, assist with the administration of withholding taxes, and prepare annual T4A-NR and NR4 information returns. Coordinate with local finance teams to gather information for tax incentives (e.g. SR&ED and E-business) and assist with filings. Prepare audit documentation and provide support for audits. Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess potential impacts to the company. Mentor and train co-op students. Assist with various ad-hoc projects and initiatives. University degree with a focus on Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline from an accredited institution. No relocation provided for this role. Candidates must reside within 50 km of Mississauga, ON to be considered. Candidates must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future. 1+ years of related corporate tax experience Pursuing or in possession of a CPA designation Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, etc.) and experience with various ERP systems (Oracle/SAP).
