Description

*Responsible for managing resources and projects internally and externally, while providing operational, analytical, and business support to global financial reporting, tax coordination, and audit processes.
*Role spans multiple international entities and requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

*Experience with Salesforce is highly valued.
Responsibilities

Tax

  • Preparation of VAT and GST Returns for Global locations (Australia, Brazil, Japan, Singapore and South Africa), where Global Reach is registered. Will require working with internal resources and outside service providers in certain countries.
  • Review internal controls and processes and ensure that the correct net amount of VAT is payable.
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to address issues identified during compliance process (e.g. incorrect invoice postings.)
  • Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet VAT/GST accounts.

Financial Reporting

  • Support the preparation, analysis, and consolidation of financial reports across multiple international entities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, or local GAAP requirements as applicable.
  • Coordinate and communicate with finance teams to ensure consistent application of accounting policies.
  • Support the annual external audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and liaison with external auditors.
  • Monitor and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in intercompany reconciliation processes and accurate eliminations in consolidated results.
  • Maintain and improve reporting processes and tools, leveraging systems such as Salesforce and Oracle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with VAT/GST legislation. Experience from the telecoms industry would be an advantage.
  • Must be fluent in English (spoken and written). Portuguese language skills are an advantage.
  • Advanced skills in MS office suite of applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Salesforce.com and/or Oracle experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and will to take on multiple responsibilities at once.
  • Strong organization and time management skills to juggle priorities.
  • High levels of attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Self-motivating to meet the needs of the business.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
