TAX ANALYST:

On behalf of our Professional Services client, Procom is searching for a Tax Analyst for a 6 month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

TAX ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing and maintaining tax-related materials and ensuring compliance with government regulations. This role involves updating tax forms, utilizing proprietary tools, and collaborating with team members to improve processes and ensure high-quality deliverables.

TAX ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Knowledge or experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
  • Knowledge of HTML / Python / Github / Other equivalent programming language.
  • Working knowledge of Windows platform, Microsoft Office, and various databases.
  • Thorough knowledge of form design tools such as Adobe Acrobat.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Attention to detail and understanding of software best practices.
  • Good oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

TAX ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to follow and understand a defined, multi-step process.
  • Ensures a high level of quality on owned deliverables.
  • Exercises good judgment within own areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for acquisition, maintenance, and government agency paper approval of all assigned tax materials.
  • Utilize proprietary tools for maintaining content with established deadlines and free of significant error.
  • Identifying changes in government forms.
  • Creating tax form content in the software.
  • Updating tax forms to provincial and federal government specifications and Intuit standards within strict deadlines.
  • Self-proofing and peer-proofing of work.
  • Achieving proficiency with numerous in-house tools necessary for the completion of many tax products offered.
  • Identifying, proposing, and implementing process improvements.
  • Participating in workload prioritization.
