The Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue [https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/COR] is seeking a Tax Assessor (DMV Select) to provide quality high volume customer service transactions at the Personal Property Tax Counter on behalf of the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Commissioner of Revenue. This position will deliver a suite of DMV services that includes vehicle registration (new, renewals, transfers), titling, tax and fee collection on these services, motor carrier services, license plate issues and orders, and other related transactions. The work is performed in accordance with the rules and regulations of the state and the policies and procedures of the Office of the Commissioner of Revenue.

Responsibilities

This position involves providing high-volume customer service transactions at the Personal Property Tax Counter on behalf of the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and the Commissioner of Revenue. Duties include processing vehicle registration, titling, tax and fee collection, and handling motor carrier services according to state regulations and office policies.
