ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Tax & Accounts Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop a career in accountancy and tax, working in a vibrant environment that supports professional growth.
Reporting to a Tax Senior, you will assist with a variety of compliance and advisory tasks, gaining hands-on experience with a specialist client base while working towards professional qualifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise directly with clients, developing strong working relationships and becoming a trusted point of contact.
  • Assist in client meetings alongside the Tax Senior, taking notes and preparing follow-up actions.
  • Prepare detailed calculations to support current and future-year tax planning.
  • Undertake bookkeeping tasks for small and medium-sized limited company clients.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Draft Corporation Tax returns under supervision.
  • Complete thorough personal tax returns for sports professionals, ensuring all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
  • Communicate directly with HMRC on client matters, supporting the resolution of any queries.
