Our work is often complex, yet our vision is simple: to be the clear choice for our clients, for our people and for the communities we work in.   The role   Acting as the day-to-day contact on audit and tax reporting engagements, liaising with audit teams, the client and AARTS/tax managers Reviewing, testing and documenting technical tax disclosures prepared by clients and their independent advisers Delegating delivery of work to junior colleagues whilst maintaining control of quality and timetables.Developing and maintaining client relationships across a portfolio of clients. Developing and maintaining internal relationships with the audit teams, and other departments. Mentoring and developing of junior members of staff. Keep up to date and share technical insights with rest of AARTS team.   The candidate will have some of the following skills, qualifications and experience: ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified. Sound knowledge of UK corporate taxation and preferably awareness of international tax issues Sound knowledge of accountancy principles, in particular accounting for tax (including deferred taxation and accounts disclosures) Ability to build good relationships with clients  Communicates with impact in a way that is open, honest, consistent, and clear Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work. Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work. Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information. Builds the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experience. Strong time and task management skills.  Able to remain calm when under pressure and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
The Tax Assistant Manager will act as the day-to-day contact on audit and tax reporting engagements, liaising with audit teams and clients. They will also review technical tax disclosures and mentor junior staff while maintaining quality and timetables.
