Description
Accurately prepare, review, and file tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines. Provide specialized advice and strategic recommendations to internal teams on tax planning, withholding obligations, and social security contributions. Collaborate closely with Finance and HR teams to ensure accurate calculation and reporting of payroll taxes and social security contributions. Advise on assignment structures, tax treaty application, and identification of tax-efficient benefits. Educate and counsel employees on their tax obligations and the implications of international assignments. Provide guidance on tax equalization and tax protection policies, ensuring employee understanding and compliance. Analyze employee compensation and payroll data to calculate tax liabilities and identify potential tax benefits. Prepare supporting applications and documentation to optimize employees' tax positions, including detailed data analysis and direct communication with assignees. Maintain complete and accurate tax records to ensure audit readiness. Monitor and stay current on international tax laws and regulatory developments. Prepare and present tax reports to management, auditors, and tax authorities, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Develop a working understanding of other service lines to identify cross-functional issues and collaborate with Tax Subject Matter Experts on integrated solutions. Conduct in-depth research on country-specific tax matters in jurisdictions where the organization operates. Act as the primary point of contact for clients with employees on business travel, delivering high-quality service and support. Communicate regularly with clients regarding trip assessment progress, address concerns, and ensure overall client satisfaction. Manage the financial aspects of engagements, including billing, collections, and tracking of metrics and KPIs. Partner with clients to implement Global Mobility Tax strategies that minimize liabilities for both the organization and employees. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the existing client base through a strong understanding of evolving client needs. Support growth of the client portfolio and strengthen existing client relationships to drive revenue. Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify potential growth opportunities. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). Bilingual proficiency (for example, English and Spanish). Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
